    Albert Fishlow is Professor of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, Director of the Center for Brazilian Studies and Director of the Institute for Latin American Studies at Columbia University.

    Marcos Jank is President and founder of the Institute for International Trade Negotiations (ICONE), an independent think-tank, based in São Paulo, working on research to support trade negotiations, particularly in the area of agribusiness.

    Founded in March 2003, ICONE is funded by Brazilian private sector agribusiness associations.
