OBJECTIVE:
To establish a long term dialogue between the Congresses of the Unites States and Brazil.

The meeting was coordinated and organized by Brazil Information Center and sponsored by CELI - Congressional Economic Leadership Institute - and the Woodrow Wilson Center for Scholars, with a grant from the Inter-American Development Bank.

The group was received by the President of Brazil’s Chamber of Deputies Aldo Rebelo, in Brasília, Brazil. That meeting was followed by a formal Dialogue between the US Delegation and 12 members of the Brazilian Congress.

During the Dialogue, the main topics addressed were:

International trade
Agribusiness
Immigration
Environmental protection initiatives
